The City of Boston has a new system for tracking constituent requests on any topic. When you call the mayor's 24-hour hotline with a question or concern, you will speak to a constituent service representative who will be able to handle your question or connect you with the appropriate person. If you have a specific request, it will be entered into an electronic tracking system. You will be given a tracking number that allows you to check on the status of your request at a later date. You can also make requests and check the status of them online at www.cityofboston.gov/mayor/24.
Some of the most frequent requests and complaints that the Mayor's 24-hour hotline receives include matters regarding trash and recycling, traffic and parking, streets and sidewalks, and other city services.
Residents may also make direct calls to the specific departments included in this Guide. Such calls, however, are not entered into the electronic tracking system.
